Picnic in Park- Event 4

A picnic was organised on Sunday 9th August 2009 at very fascinating park in St. Albans Hertfordshire. Verulamium park is set over 100 acre and is named after Roman city Verulamium. It’s a historic place and walls and outline of main London gate is still can be seen. City council has developed modern amenities on the park. The main feature of the park is its ornamental lake and water fountain. Members reached the venue in the morning around 10.00 and enjoyed delicious breakfast. Members enjoyed Nadiadi Chawana mix specially bought from India.

After the morning break fast, various games were arranged. Members enjoyed the games. This was in fact an opportunity for member to interact with each other, which is one of the objects of Jain social groups all over world. Weather supported the event with sunny day from morning. Members enjoy the lovely greenery of the park before lunch. Lunch was arranged from Tulsi restaurant Wembley. After lunch, members introduced each other. Rajesh Mehta started old bollywood song and then members lost themselves in different interesting activities and games. Nobody noticed that it was 4.00pm until high tea was provided.

Appx. 95 members participated in the event. Members appreciated the interaction and the food arrangement.
